Kineahora?

Kineahora means “no evil eye” when translated literally from Yiddish. The way my grandmother pronounced it, “kinnahera,” led me to believe she was talking about some relative of Hera, the perpetually jealous supreme goddess of the ancient Greeks.

Fortunately, kineahora is just a phrase—like “touch wood”—that’s supposed to ward off the bad luck that comes from counting your blessings prematurely.

Prices

Inkjet prints. Printed on archival papers with high-quality inks, paper sizes range from 8 1/2 x11 to 13 x 19 inches. Prices range from $75 to $195, exclusive of tax and shipping.

The silver gelatin prints are limited editions of conventional black-and-white photographs that I printed, archivally, from 1974 through 2001. Some are selenium- or gold-toned. Some are framed. Sizes are 8 x 10 or 11 x 14 inches and prices start at $125 exclusive of tax and shipping.

Custom orders, such as large-sized giclée prints, are available upon request.
