Stromme is a "fotofiction," a form of photographic novel that I invented. A fotofiction asks the reader to imagine an illustrated work, like a Dickens novel, where the text is missing and the reader has to recreate the story from the illustrations. Why I decided to make the protagonist a Norwegian cardboard suitcase is another story. "Stromme" was my travel companion for six years. During that time we experienced a variety of archetypal situations, before returning to Oslo for the final photograph.
